Your missing the point. If you want to go deep you must be open minded and put pride aside. It's obvious from my screen name that I am of Samoan descent. If you want deep, you can consider Hawaiian's of Samoan descent also. I lived in Hau'ula between '74 and '84. I enjoyed every moment of it. I can honostly say that my fondest memories of childhood were in Hawai'i. You speak on wanting an 'authentic Hawaiian' to play the role of King Kamehameha. If I remember correctly, most 'Hawaiians' I knew, absolutley looked asian. Nothing like native Hawaiian, or Polynesian for that matter. I guess 'My' point is this...I've always been proud of my ethnicity not only as Samoan, but of Polynesian also. Your points are moot. As far as not having land, noone else but the Hawaiians themselves sold off their lands. It's not like it was taken from them, as the case with Native Americans.
