Kim's ability to fool his own is hopelessly compromised. There are Rogues yet in the schools. The faithful have neither the fire of the early instructors, nor the cash of the middle era. They've nothing but their pipe dream. When it all collapses, Kim's lap dogs will not find many friends. And it will collapse. Consider these forums a primer for the the present instructors in moo politics. Self preservation will create new leaders. When John Kim is dead, do you think there will be a single instructor willing to give all profits to Kim's non-martial artist family? And do you think Jerry will be able to appear the miracle man? No. They will find what the Rogues have found- there are masters and grandmasters outside the moo. Those who widen their studies now will hold power over those who put their faith in John Kim's once a decade lesson plan.
The moo is actually a fraternity/sorority, not a line, despite Kim's wishes. It's only hope for survival is from mutual support. The Rogues have already determined this to be true. Eventually, there will be only Rogues, because once Kim is dead, no one will have a source to claim except for those who have educated themselves.
The fact is, Chris Dining is an anachronism. He acts just as we did, but he has all the evidence at his disposal, and we had none of it. He chooses to be ignorant, and then lectures others on their life choices. He can somehow find a way for a man to be a spiritual leader, and yet lead others on a path to prison. Or follow, if that is his viewpoint. Either case does not equal spiritual strength, yet these distinctions are meaningless to Chris Dining, because he simply does not care for the truth, he only cares for his school.
Ex posed this question for LurkerB, I'll pose it for Chris. Did the nationals ask for Kim's forgiveness for their crimes from Kim when they were released from prison? And, to take it one further, did Kim ask for forgiveness? From whom? If he knew, he is guilty to the whole line, if he did not know, he is guilty to the whole line. He failed. His strength is a sham.
Chris Dining can lecture all he wants. All I know is that I will defend my teachers when they learn hard lessons, and Chris will jockey for rank. In the end, he will have a belt that I can take away should I care for such trivialities. This amounts to nothing to me.
