Christ was tempted, but he did not take the bait. That's my thought on it. I think you're referring to when he was in the desert and Satan tempted him. He didn't bite (at least as far as I understand). Thus, I'm not sure if it has any relevance toward man, only toward Satan.

You know what's cool about Jesus? He's a huge stud. Here's why. He basically parachutted into the camp of the enemy, without any armor, as a child, and then proceeded to defeat the enemy, without shedding anyone elses blood. That's pretty cool.

As far as me being a 'son of God', no I do not consider myself as such. I was created by God, but that doesn't make me his son, anymore than me creating a software program or a computer makes it my child. Sure, I might treat it like my baby, but it's not of my flesh, or my blood.

If you want a really good book that can explain away about 99.9% of your 'pitfalls', check out, 'Letters from a Skeptic' by Gregory Boyd. It's a wonderful collection of letters from a son to his father about Christianity, where his father rejects everything there is about Christ, and slowly, over time, becomes a believer. It's cool.
