i hope i'm not dissapointing you by saying that the reason the nature of my questions have changed isn't necessarily because of a shift in my thoughts on the subject as a whole
it's because like i said i am not trying to argue
i simply want to hear your views within the realm of biblical thought
i could take a more nihilistic approach and say that evil does not exist it is only man's perceptions of events that may or may not even exist
even though i think absolute nihilism is more a copout than a philosophy i include it in my scope of possibilities
the way i see the the question of god creating evil in my mind's eye is something more on a molecular level
if in the beginning there was god and then he created all we see
he must have created everything we see from himself
therefor
somewhere within him there must have been evil
take the airplane
man created the airplane out of the elements present in our world
we still aren't flying - the plane is
this brings me to what i think is an interesting thought
if we are created in gods likeness
and we can create things and imigine things that can accomplish what we cannot
is it possible that god's creations could exceed his capabilities
i know that if you take the view that god is infinitely capable the answer would be no but...
