Yes you are correct but it has been that way throughout martial arts history even in China. What our martial art ancestors developed can be found by an open mind. Yes in one way it can be expanded upon but in truth unless you subject yourself to that life we will only have an idea of their original intention. Saying all that you can still feel the master's intention.
