Yes I see what you mean. Often times it seems the 'art' aspect of it is not so much experiencing that which you speak of but bringing bring the expression and/or benefits of that to a mutable form that can be realized in many contexts by many people. This has been refered to by myself, for lack of better terminology as 'expression of vision' (I am aware of the rather poor use I make of language here). This I believe is why some, in attempting to pass on knowledge that it may be enjoyed and built upon, often see direct transmiision as the best path. But it appears also very true that the right spirit of inquiry, will in time with effort, often yeild surprising benefit.
