That was very nice. Who would of thought a moo could be civel?

Dear Mr.Moo,

I use to believe as you, that the moo movements were not always for self-defense but for building the mind and body that could be used in developing your self-defense skills. One explanation for dadoge was that it would loosen your hips and strengthens your legs enabling you to develop your side kick at a faster rate than if you were to train side kick alone.

That was then, now is now. Since leaving the moo I have found what I call real Chinese kung fu. One movement from Pakua (bagua) called 'Snake creeps through the grass” is very similar to dadoge except the mechanics are different for two reasons. 1) It is a fighting technique, (take down by pulling their legs out from underneath them). 2) Because it is a fighting technique good posture and body mechanics are used throughout the movement. Like “dadoge “, “snake creeps through the grass” does looses the hips and strengthens the legs enabling you to develop your side kick at a faster rate than if you were to train side kick alone. I would like to add that due to the good posture and body mechanics your development will be better balanced with less chance of knee injury.

In conclusion, as KC stated when you train in dadoge you are not training martial art but an exercise for martial arts. Whereas training with snake creeps through the grass you not only get all of the mind and body development, you are also training a tried and tested fighting technique. That my moo friend is training in Chinese Kung Fu.
