Hm. Well, I certainly respect your decision. I can't say I agree with the assessment of what is negative and what is not, but I have never been one to believe reality is mutable to our perceptions. For instance, the weakness in the defense on dedogi is something that could be used to fool an opponent, but the fact remains that, in the context of dedogi and the other drill I discussed, it is not. However, it is clearly your business what you practice.

You are wise to familiarize yourself with this argument, as you will bear the brunt of it should you become an instructor. After all, then you are telling others that Kim took 11 story falls, and we WILL be saying 'How do you know this?' and if you fail to say 'I do not', when this is the truth, then it will be much harder for you to not feel the hypocrite. And as an instructor, if you refer the website to people, you will be indirectly stating that 11 story falls and mysterious competitions that cross borders in asia without leaving a single record exist, and you will have no more evidence than what your instructors told you, but your students will not know this. The one who told me most of those same things was imprisoned, and left the schools for good. The next instructor I had left and now makes the weak excuse that 'everyone knew what they were getting themselves into' as an excuse for telling people he taught what he did not know.

So prepare yourself. It is all right to be a student trusting in your instructors. But when you are an instructor, your students will be trusting in you, and if you yourself have not seen kim feeding tigers, or falling from 11 story heights, or seen any real evidence of the all asia thing, or when you cannot define exactly which part of what you practice is kung fu and from where in China, or kong su, or aikido, and cannot explain why these arts have so few of the techniques that traditional aikido or kung fu or kong su schools have, then the burden of proof will be on you, and you will appear the hypocrite for not truly educating yourself, and instead trusting in others to educate you.

However, as a student, I respect your devotion. Do not let it be used.
