Get ready for the premiere of Rush Hour 2, the sequel to the highly successful comedy that grossed more than $250 million.

The new movie will bring back Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in the lead roles as hilarious detective partners. Enticing Zhang Ziyi who seems to be popping up everywhere also has a co-starring role in this flick. The movie will be screened at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on July 26.

This summer is a hot one for APIs on the wide screen. Rick Yune's film The Fast and the Furious has been at the top of the box office ratings. Jet Li's martial arts action flick Kiss of the Dragon has also been a smash hit, even though the family-oriented Li warned his parents not to watch the R-rated film.

Congratulations to film-maker Ang Lee for being named America's best director by Time Magazine. A quote from the related article reads, "This soft-spoken gent is proving again what's always been true: that American cinema is nourished by the artistry of foreigners."

Another leading director, John Woo of Mission: Impossible 2 fame is working on a computer-animation film based on Mutant Ninja Turtle.
