This is completely false. If you want to train that same body component 2 times in a row, you you should only push to 70% of it's capacity. You can go maybe 5-6 days like this. BUT, if you push to complete failure, you need to rest the very next day.

Those who are at an elite level train two days in a row sometimes, but they are only pushing about 70-80% of their max.

Joints develop the with the same stress as muscles do, so you really don't have to sacrifice muscle development by over training them to get the joint development.

Doing what you say will harm the joints as much as the muscles. It is the reason why there is such a high number of knee problems experianced by those who follow a certain school prominantly discussed on this forum.
