From what I have been taught and what I have practiced. IF you train the same part of the body two days in a row(or three) then this actually weakens the muscles and helps the joints to gain in flexability as well as adding stress the the 'white' connective tissue. This can cause damage if practiced to much or too long but it can help strengthen the connective tisues and expand joints. But if you are looking for muscle development then the every other day approach works best in my experiences.

Remember don't just practice to practice think about what you aer trying to accomplish with each form/movement you are practicing.
