The Elbow pain is common to Moo's. It comes from constatly locking the elbow in a rather brutal way. There is a reason why traditional Kung Fu systems do not completely lock the elbows when they strike.

What you have is similar to a pitcher's elbow, or tennis elbow. You need to rest it a good long time, and stop locking the elbow out every time you strike. Asside from blowing your elbow out, your going to leave yourself open to various elbow locks and breaks, especially if you fight a guy like me.

Authentic Kung Fu systems use the body structure and good mechanics to generate power. The Elbow locking method use at Kim's schools really can't generate any serious power anyway. They reli purly on muscle strength. Thier method is more like modern Whu Shu, and is geared towards presenting strength to the crowd of on lookers. It's designed purely to impress them as opposed to ISSUE power into an opponent.

Bascially you have a method that is dangerous, doesn't give you any useable strength and has no real martial benifit. It just looks cooler to people watching you and is ''Impressive'' to the uninformed.
