Isn't dodoegi (spelling?)used to improve hip flexibility? Who would use that in a fight with all the other more practical tools we have?
My understanding is to use the different forms we learn to build the body up. Not to figure out ways to beat the crap out of people and risk tearing our bodies to shreds. I don't understand all of you constantly talking about the poor self-defense in our forms. Who goes around fighting all the time that one would need more than a block /attack/ and/or takedown defense?
